CiB's web site now has a PDA-friendly page to make sure you keep informed wherever you are. The page contains the latest job advertisements, CiB news and course information in a format suitable for hand-held PDAs and smartphones. The PDA-friendly page can be found at http://www.cib.uk.com/pda

You can also get the latest CiB news, features, jobs and course information delivered direct to your desktop, thanks to the power of RSS (Really Simple Syndication). CiB's RSS feed at www.cib.uk.com/rss.xml contains details of all the latest content on the site, saving you time and energy.

The CiB RSS feed is updated regularly and usually contains details of up to 10 new job vacancies in the internal communications industry, as well as useful features, upcoming courses and national and regional news.

What is RSS?
RSS is an easy way to keep updated automatically. Instead of having to go to websites to see if they contain a new article or feature, you can use RSS to get them to tell you every time there is something new.

How does RSS work?
RSS uses something called XML - a universal language that allows content to be shared, both online and offline.

How can I make use of RSS?
You need a program called a "news reader" or "news aggregator". This displays RSS information feeds from your chosen websites on your computer.
