This one-day seminar (9.00am to 5.00pm) is conducted by two leading tutors in this field - Malcolm Davison and Diana Railton. It offers the latest thinking on writing for the web and the best advice on how to communicate effectively.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to approach online writing with more confidence, improve the readability of online text and set corporate editorial standards. How to get the message across - two writing strategies
A look at why some websites work, and others don’t
Recognising key criteria necessary to maintain high corporate standards
Saving the readers’ time and stimulating feedback
How to improve readability through design, layout and typography
Adapting material from news media and other printed sources
Practical exercises
Making a checklist of professional guidelines.
