South West: ACE Award Winners 2008

Around 100 CiB members and guests attended the South West Region's Awards for Communications Excellence 2008 in Bristol on 6 March 2008.

A total of 30 silver and gold awards were won across 19 award categories, including internal and external publications, face to face communication and communication programmes. 

In addition, special platinum awards were given out to three category winners where the judges considered the work to be outstanding examples of communication excellence: 

·         Lloyds TSB Insurance for the communication programme for their new home insurance product

·         Specialist for 'You're Covered' customer magazine for Kwikfit

·         and Nationwide for Nationwide Live Magazine.

Regional Chairman, Dominic Walters said: “This was a great event. We had excellent entries from first rate communicators and the location was stylish, modern and a great backdrop for a celebration of creativity. Thanks again to Talking Your Language and everyone else who helped put together the event.”

Awards co-ordinator Jos Harrison from Bristol agency Talking Your Language said: "We were delighted to manage the awards this year and it was great to see so many communications teams and agencies from around the region attending and being recognised for their work. It's reinforced my view that the South West Region is definitely a hub for communication excellence."
