The 2009 CiB Awards are under way. The Awards are a unique showcase for communication talent with 16 categories covering everything from global programmes, CSR, internal newsletters, video, Podcasts, team briefings and more.

A programme dedicated solely to internal communication, devised by the UK’s only internal communication organisation, and judged by some of the best internal communicators in the business, this is where the efforts of individuals and teams over the past 12 months can really shine.

This year's awards celebrate CiB's 60th anniversary and there have been some significant changes.

As Paul Brasington, CiB chairman says: "As the organisation is now clearly focused on the professional practice of internal communication, that shift is reflected in the revised scope of our award categories. 

"Our aim is to recognise and celebrate the very best in print and digital materials for internal communication. That’s why you’ll find that most of our established awards for excellence in print and digital media are still here, but we’ve removed external media categories and created new awards which look at the craft of communication in particular campaign contexts."

The classes are:

• Class 3 - Merger/change
• Class 4 - Corporate Responsibility
• Class 5 - Multi-lingual communication
• Class 6 - Internal magazines/news magazines
• Class 7 - Internal newspapers/newsletters
• Class 8 - Online communications
• Class 9 - Audio visual
• Class 10 - Team briefings
• Class 11 - New publication
• Class 12 - Writing
• Class 13 - Design - internal publications
• Class 14 - Imagery
• Class 15 - Corporate/promotional/member publication
• Class 16 - Annual report/accounts

Your entries must be in by 19 January 2009 and the awards will be presented by a special guest at a gala dinner at CiB's annual conference in Birmingham on Friday 22 May 2009.
