 Communicators in Business is the leading association for professionals in internal and corporate communications, with more than 1,100 members working in a range of public and private sector organisations.
Our Media Centre has been established to provide comment and feature ideas and put journalists in touch with experts on a range of internal and corporate communication issues, such as:

- Communicating in a crisis
- Employee engagement and employer branding
- Measuring communications
- Internal communications and industrial relations
- The role of internal communications in supporting portfolio workers
- Internal and corporate communicators at board level

- CiB holds two annual awards - the CiB Awards, which are held as part of the CiB's annual conference, and the Communicator of the Year/Communications Excellence Awards, which are held each November.

Delegates at CiB’s annual conference (12th – 14th May, Carden Park Hotel, near Chester) will have the opportunity to re-evaluate their approach to employee surveys with a masterclass led by one of the foremost experts in the field.
New to the conference this year, the masterclass format will provide an in-depth learning experience run by Peter Hutton who has spent his career undertaking and writing about surveys in management, giving him a unique perspective on what works.

 The British Association of Communicators in Business (CiB) has announced that it is to make the CiB Achievement Award to Major Phil Packer for his inspirational work promoting the Help for Heroes charity.
Major Packer will be honoured at CiB’s prestigious Communicator of the Year awards ceremony on 27 November at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London.
Following a devastating spinal cord injury sustained while serving in Iraq in 2008, Phil channeled himself into raising funds for Help for Heroes, having been inspired by its co-founders Bryn and Emma Parry. He caught the nation’s heart earlier this year when he took 13 days to complete the London Marathon, walking with the aid of crutches. Other challenges have included rowing the English Channel and climbing the El Capitan mountain face in Yosemite National Park, USA.

Members of the British Association of Communicators in Business have voted to change the name and status of the association to the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC).
The Special Resolution was passed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the association on 23 September in London.
The name reflects the body’s total focus on internal communication and also - with the new Institute title - its commitment to being the guardian of standards and best practice for the sector, with a major emphasis on professional development issues.
